This may be the largest gathering of acoustic and bluegrass musicians playing gospel music in the world!

Join us for an unforgettable weekend in Calhan, Colorado at the El Paso County Fairgrounds, 30 miles east of Colorado Springs on Highway 24. (see below for the scenic route)

30+ bands playing all genres of acoustic gospel music - bluegrass, folk, western, country, southern gospel, Celtic, a capella, old time

On site Camping

Call Janice at 719-520-7880 to make reservations for electric hookups. Dump available. Plenty of rough camping with showers for $5 a night. Bring shade for tents. Fees payable to fairgrounds.

The only hotel in town has 27 rooms. The EconoLodge, 719-347-9589, 10% discount available.

Dogs are welcome on leashes except in Swink Hall.

Festival Overview

Thursday - Free Concert at 7 pm with The Josties from Canada. Opening band is High Prairie from Colorado. Come early for lemonade and hotdogs!

Friday - noon - 4 pm, workshops, schedule coming soon, music begins at 5 pm

Saturday - music on 3 stages from 10 am - 10 pm
workshops, jamming, band scramble, songwriting contest, Kid's Tent with games, crafts, other activities, square dance at 9 pm with Fiddlin' Phil from Wyoming
Instrument giveaway at 7 pm for youth 18 and under

Sunday - pancake breakfast at 8:30 followed by sing-along with Paul Danley from CO and service with Paul Estep from KY. Music till 5 pm
Instrument giveaway for youth at 5 pm

If you are driving to Calhan from the north, take I25 to Castle Rock, exit Founder's Pkwy and go east to Hwy 86. Stay on it through Elizabeth and before you get to Kiowa, turn right on Elbert Rd. There is a sign for the Peaceful Valley Boy Scout Ranch. This is a beautiful drive all the way to highway 24. Go east to Calhan.
